Scoring

The information below details how each element of your team will score points over a race weekend. To be eligable to score points for a race weekend, a team must have been entered no less than 48 hours before race day (i.e. midnight on the Thursday before a race weekend).

Drivers

Qualifying

The driver qualifying on pole earns 10 points, 2nd 9 points, 3rd 8 points, and so on down to 1 point for 10th place. No points are scored for drivers qualifying below 10th position.

The Race

Drivers finishing in the points score as follows:

  • 1st - 25 points
  • 2nd - 18 points
  • 3rd - 15 points
  • 4th - 12 points
  • 5th - 10 points
  • 6th - 8 points
  • 7th - 6 points
  • 8th - 4 points
  • 9th - 2 points
  • 10th - 1 point

In qualifying, a driver scores points on his outright position. If a subsequent penalty is imposed (e.g. a drop in grid position due to a change of engine/gear box), a driver will not lose his qualifying points.

If a driver qualifies outside of the 107% rule, 5 points will be deducted.

A driver scores 2 points for each place he makes up on his qualifying position during the race. For example, if a driver qualified 6th and finished 3rd he would score 6 points (plus the 5 points for qualifying 6th and 15 points for finishing 3rd, totalling 26 points).

A driver will be deducted 1 point for each place he loses from his qualifying position.

A driver will be deducted 5 points if he fails to finish a race. If a driver does not complete the full race distance but is classified in the FIA race results, no points will be deducted.

Replacements

If one of your drivers is replaced at any point in the season, you will score the points scored by the replacement.
